Question by Katie: How much does a teacher in a hospital make?
I am interested in becoming a teacher that works with students who are in the hospital either short or long term. I have nearly ten years of teaching experience. Can anyone tell me how much these types of teachers make? Are they employed by hospitals or by the schools?
Answer by Shan
The only teacher I am aware of in a hospital is older nurses with lot’s of experience teaching/doing job training for the new nurses. Besides that public health nurse teaches information to the public & schools, and Nurse Educator teaches student nurses at universities & colleges, but they all require a bachelor of science in nursing and experience.

Question by Caring Student: What to get a math teacher who is retiring?
My math teacher is retiring this year and I want to get her something to show my appreciation. She is a math teacher, but also does a lot of theatre. What would be a good gift for a math teacher who also loves theatre?
Answer by Angie
Well, it’s usually odd for a single student to get something for a math teacher, so to lose the awkwardness, gather some people together. Next, find a plaque/engraving place. They’re everywhere. Purchase a plaque that you could possible engrave or encase a calculator into it or something and add a little message, name, or class of whatever year you are. This would probably run about $ 50, if it’s small.
